Inflight Dublin has been awarded the contract for the provision of content and wireless Inflight Entertainment (IFE) services by Sunclass Airlines.

Commencing in August 2021, the agreement sees Inflight Dublin providing its wireless IFE solution, Everhub™, on board Sunclass Airlines’ A321 aircraft, while also providing content services across their A330 fleet. The content catalogue consists of Hollywood movies, TV Shows, Boxsets, Music, and Publications. Also included is Inflight Dublin’s revenue-generating gaming platform, Gladi8tor Gaming, through LXM.

Sunclass Airlines is a Danish charter airline that operates a fleet of 10 A330 and A321 aircraft to over 30 destinations across Scandinavia, Europe, South America, and Asia.

2011

The beginning of a great partnership: Inflight Dublin first signed Ethiopian Airlines as a client.

2014

During a trip to Addis Ababa, the Inflight Dublin team were treated to delicious traditional cuisine and fantastic entertainment at the famous Abyssinia restaurant.

2017

The partnership was extended & Ethiopian Airlines hosted John & Barry, IFD’s CEO and CCO respectively, with Capt. Yohannes HaileMariam at their B787 flight simulator event, pictured below.

2018

Ethiopian Airlines introduced Inflight Dublin’s Everhub Wireless IFE software to its B767-300ER fleet & Philip McCarthy, Inflight Dublin’s Director of Client Services, alongside Laura Begley, Inflight Dublin’s dedicated Account Manager to Ethiopian Airlines, paid a visit to the ever-welcoming Addis Ababa team at their aviation academy.

2019

Inflight Dublin introduced a number of Content enhancement packages including

2020

Inflight Dublin and Ethiopian Airlines agreed to extend their relationship for another 3 years.

Inflight Dublin continued to support Ethiopian Airlines through the Covid-19 pandemic and most challenging time for the aviation industry, to help them emerge even stronger.

Today

We look back at some of the great achievements and enhancements Inflight Dublin has provided to Ethiopian Airlines’ inflight entertainment offering over the past 10 years.

• Supported ET through a number of inflight entertainment systems: Thales Legacy, Thales AVANT, Thales OASIS, and a range of wireless systems.
• Helped them to reach & maintain a 4 Star Skytrax rating
• Expanded their International content to include content from their growing network of destinations, including Malayalam, Korean, Japanese & Russian content
• Provided up to 8 languages per movie – worked with ET & Thales to accommodate their diverse passenger audience
• Produced over 200 pre-recorded announcements (PRA’s) in 11 languages
• Implemented Onboard marketing – Boarding videos, boarding music, opening & closing bumper ads
• Assisted in the delivery of the IFE insert for their inflight magazine (Selamta) & created an interactive microsite
• Continue to support them with their 2025 vision as the leading airline in Africa

Inflight Dublin has been awarded a 3-year contract for the provision of inflight entertainment (IFE) by long-standing client Ethiopian Airlines Group, the national flag carrier of Ethiopia.

Inflight Dublin has been providing IFE services to Ethiopian Airlines since 2010, ranging from content, wireless software, motion graphics and an interactive microsite.

Inflight Dublin will service Ethiopian Airlines’ entire IFE-enabled fleet with content, including 3 B767 aircraft that utilise Inflight Dublin’s Everhub™ wireless software platform. The content package will feature Hollywood blockbusters, classic movies, TV shows, local content and YouTube videos.

Ethiopian Airlines is the largest airline in Africa, operating a fleet of over 128 aircraft for short, medium, and long-haul flights to 127 international destinations. The airline was also voted ‘Best Airline in Africa’ for the 3^rd consecutive year at the Skytrax 2019 World Airlines Awards.

Our team of IFE specialists were once again delighted to attend the AIX Expo 2019 in Hamburg alongside the top airlines, CSP’s and tech companies in the airline industry. The AIX Expo is the world’s leading event for airlines and the supply chain to source the latest interior technologies and products. 

Several members of our team were on site to discuss the specialised needs of airlines in terms of their IFE content offering and wireless solutions. Our stand enabled attendees to sample our state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions first-hand. 

The demonstration of our Augmented Reality software generated great intrigue with airline representatives. Users could witness our innovative new concept designed to enhance IFE and inflight services such as Food and Drink menus and Duty-free shopping.  The software platform also provides airlines with a weight-saving initiative, offering the opportunity to reduce the need for paper based menus and brochures.

In addition to this, the first-generation demo of Inflight Dublin’s Everhub™  portable wireless server was on display, showcasing our innovative new hardware option for airlines. The server has the ability to opperate off battery power or aircraft power, and delivers secure high definition browser-based DRM content. This reinforces our stance as being the only true end-to-end wireless solution for airlines – providing Hardware, Software and Content all under one roof.

Our development team are continuously updating and improving the server to reduce size and weight, with the final product due to launch in the coming months. 

In addition to attending the AIX Expo, Inflight Dublin annually exhibits at the APEX Expo, which this year is taking place in Los Angeles from the 9-12 September. Our team of IFE specialists will be on site at the Inflight Dublin Booth 1307 to meet with both our existing airline partners and prospective airlines, showcasing first hand our full range of IFE products and services.

Inflight Dublin, the leading independent content service provider in the IFE industry, has announced today an agreement with the international business aviation group, PrivatAir, for the deployment of their dynamic Wireless IFE solution, Everhub.

Everhub is a cutting-edge inflight entertainment system that enables passengers to engage with entertainment, on-board retail and destination services via their mobile device or laptop. Via these devices, the passenger can stream video and audio files, play games, read publications, review city guides and view a live moving map. They can also review and purchase duty-free and snack-bar products and plan and book destination services.

“It is also aiding the optimisation of in-flight operations for crewmembers. Taking into consideration our client base, we have partnered with Inflight Dublin, who developed a bespoke wireless IFE system that addresses all our needs. In particular, the crew app is of big significance to us as it enables the crew to manage a variety of inflight services pre, during and post-flight!”

Everhub was launched on board of PrivatAir on 21^st of February 2017.

Inflight Dublin, leading in-flight entertainment content and software provider, today announced the signing of strategic, multi-year content service agreement with Somon Air.

Inflight Dublin will provide a suite of core in-flight entertainment (IFE) content services, including movies, TV, and audio on overhead and seatback systems aboard all Somon Air aircraft.

We are delighted to offer Somon Air up to 100 media titles, including the very latest movies, television, and audio programming on regional and international flights. The new partnership underlines Inflight Dublin’s continued expansion into the EurAsian region.
